Apple Cinnamon Loaf Cake

Prep time: 15-20 minutes

Cook time: 50-55 minutes

Cake Materials:

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored and cubed

Cinnamon Mixture Materials:

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Process:

  1. Lightly grease a loaf pan lined with some parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. In a small mixing bowl combine the ground cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Mix well and set aside.
  4. In another small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  5. In a medium sized mixing bowl add in the butter and both types of sugar. Using a hand help mixer, cream the mixture together until fully combined.
  6. Add in the vanilla and then mix in one egg at a time.
  7. Add in the whole milk and mix until everything is combined.
  8. Switch to a spatula and fold in the dry ingredients.
  9. Take half of the batter and pour it into the bottom of the loaf pan.
  10. Place the cubed apples over the top and tap them in lightly into the batter, and cover with half of the cinnamon mixture.
  11. Pour the remaining batter over the apple and cinnamon mixture and smooth it out best you can.
  12. Top with the remaining cinnamon mixture and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  13. Let cool, slice and ENJOY!
