Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 3-4 minutes per batch
Materials:
- 1 loaf of chocolate chip bread (check out Aldi for the best selection)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Unsalted butter for frying (just enough to grease the pan)
- Maple syrup and powdered sugar for topping (optional)
Process:
- In a mixing bowl large enough to fit your slice of bread add in the whole milk, eggs, vanilla, salt and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
- Keeping the heat on medium add in a bit of butter into your skillet and let it melt.
- Dip one piece of bread at a time in the milk/egg mixture and place directly into the pan. Cook 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Repeat until all pieces are cooked.
- Serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar and ENJOY!
