Chocolate Chip French Toast

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 3-4 minutes per batch

Materials:

  • 1 loaf of chocolate chip bread (check out Aldi for the best selection)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Unsalted butter for frying (just enough to grease the pan)
  • Maple syrup and powdered sugar for topping (optional)

Process:

  1. In a mixing bowl large enough to fit your slice of bread add in the whole milk, eggs, vanilla, salt and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
  2. Keeping the heat on medium add in a bit of butter into your skillet and let it melt.
  3. Dip one piece of bread at a time in the milk/egg mixture and place directly into the pan. Cook 1-2 minutes on each side.
  4. Repeat until all pieces are cooked.
  5. Serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar and ENJOY!
