4 Ingredient Dessert

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Materials:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups puffed rice (you can also substitute for rice crispy cereal)
  • 1 milk chocolate bar

Process:

  1. Remove the label from your sweetened condensed milk. Place the can in soup pot and cover completely with water.
  2. Bring the water up to a boil and then turn down to simmer. Simmer for 90 minutes making sure to add water to make sure the can is always completely covered with water.
  3. Remove from heat and let the can cool completely. I usually do this the day before to make sure the caramel mixture has cooled completely.
  4. In a large pot add in the unsalted butter and cooked sweetened condensed milk (which now resembles caramel). Keeping the heat on medium mix to combine the butter and sweetened condensed milk. Once the butter has fully melted and is incorporated into the caramel mixture shut the heat off.
  5. Add in the puffed rice and mix to combine and coat in the caramel.
  6. Place golf ball sized amounts on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Set aside.
  7. In a microwave safe bowl add in the milk chocolate bar and microwave at 15 second increments until melted.
  8. Drizzle the chocolate over the rice and caramel balls.
  9. Let sit to set, plate and ENJOY!
