Materials:
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 5-6 large apples cubed
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup caramel
- Egg wash (1 egg & 1 tbsp. water)
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place your puff pastry sheets on your baking sheet making sure to combine the two sheets pinching the seams together to make one large rectangular sheet.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Pour the apple mixture onto the puff pastry, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
- Pinch the edges to form a slight border (watch video for visual) and brush over with your egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the caramel sauce of your choice over the apple mixture.
- Let cool slightly, cut, plate and ENJOY!
