Caramel Apple Treat

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Materials:

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 5-6 large apples cubed
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup caramel
  • Egg wash (1 egg & 1 tbsp. water)

Process:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place your puff pastry sheets on your baking sheet making sure to combine the two sheets pinching the seams together to make one large rectangular sheet.
  3. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Pour the apple mixture onto the puff pastry, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
  5. Pinch the edges to form a slight border (watch video for visual) and brush over with your egg wash.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle the caramel sauce of your choice over the apple mixture.
  8. Let cool slightly, cut, plate and ENJOY!
