Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 18-20 minutes
Materials:
- 1 can buttermilk biscuits
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg w/ 1 tbsp. cold water
- Sea salt to taste
Process:
- Cut each biscuit into fours.
- Taking each piece roll into a ball and using a small pairing knife cut an X into the top. Set aside.
- In a skillet with high sides add enough water to fill up the skillet almost to the top.
- Keeping the heat on high add in the baking soda. Once the water comes to a boil add in the quartered biscuits. Do this in batches so that you don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook each batch for 60-90 seconds and place on a greased parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to degrees F.
- Brush your pretzel bites with your egg and water mixture.
- Sprinkle with sea salt to taste and bake for 13-16 minutes or until the pretzel bites are a dark golden brown color.
- Plate and ENJOY!
