Eggnog Breakfast Bake

Prep time: 15-20 minutes

Cook time: 40-45 minutes

Materials:

  • 1 package (16 oz) plain Panettone
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (additional 1/2 tsp needed for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream

Process:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a casserole dish (about 11 x 7 inch). Set aside.
  2. Cube or rip the panettone. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine the eggnog, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and salt. Mix well to combine.
  4. Add in the cubed panettone and mix well to make sure each piece is coated by the eggnog mixture.
  5. Pour everything into your prepared casserole dish and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  6. To make the glaze combine the powdered sugar, heavy cream, nd remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix well and pour over the cooked breakfast bake.
  7. Slice, plate and ENJOY!
