Cook time: 40-45 minutes
Materials:
- 1 package (16 oz) plain Panettone
- 1 1/2 cups eggnog
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon (additional 1/2 tsp needed for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a casserole dish (about 11 x 7 inch). Set aside.
- Cube or rip the panettone. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine the eggnog, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and salt. Mix well to combine.
- Add in the cubed panettone and mix well to make sure each piece is coated by the eggnog mixture.
- Pour everything into your prepared casserole dish and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- To make the glaze combine the powdered sugar, heavy cream, nd remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix well and pour over the cooked breakfast bake.
- Slice, plate and ENJOY!
