Peanut Butter (Soy nut butter) Blossoms

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 8-10 minutes

Materials:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup soy nut butter or peanut butter
  • 24 Hershey Kisses/ Hugs

Process:

  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix and set aside.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl combine the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Mix to incorporate.
  3. Add in one egg a time making sure to incorporate well before adding next egg.
  4. Add in vanilla extract and peanut or soy nut butter. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until flour is fully incorporated.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 60 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line 2 cookie sheets with some parchment paper.
  8. Taking a small ice cream scoop, scoop out a ball of dough.
  9. Roll between your hands to smooth the dough out and place onto your prepared baking sheet.
  10. Continue until all the cookies are shaped.
  11. Bake for 8-10 minutes and remove from the oven.
  12. While the cookies are still hot place an unwrapped Hershey Kiss in the center.
  13. Let cool completely, plate and ENJOY!
