Cook time: 26-28 minutes
Materials:
- 2 cups flour sifted
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) melted and cooled
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed chocolate eggs of your choice
- 1/4 cup chocolate M&M’s
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a rectangular cake pan (9 inch x 11 inch) with some parchment paper and non stick oil.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix and set aside.
- In another mixing bowl combine the brown sugar and melted butter. Using a hand held mixer mix until sugar dissolves and mixture is fluffy.
- Add in one egg at a time and continue to mix well after each egg.
- Add in vanilla extract and continue to mix.
- Gradually start to mix in the flour making sure to stop and scrape the edges of your bowl.
- Fold in the crushed chocolate eggs.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and top with some M&M’s using your fingers to gently push them into the batter.
- Bake for 26-28 minutes or until fully cooked through.
- Let cool completely before cutting into the bars.
