Materials:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 6 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp oregano
- Coarse salt to taste
Process:
- In a mixing bowl combine the flour, salt and instant yeast. Mix roughly.
- Add in the warm water and using a spatula mix until the flour is completely combined with the water. The mixture is sticky so do not panic.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours (maximum 24 hours).
- Add in 1 tbsp. of olive oil into a clean pie plate.
- Place the dough in the center of the pie plate and set aside for 2 hours at room temperature. Allow the dough to cover the surface of the pie plate.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Pour the remaining olive oil over the top of the dough. Using your fingers start to indent the dough making sure to push the dough all the way to the bottom. Watch video for visual.
- Season with Italian seasoning, oregano and coarse salt.
- Bake 20-23 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked fully when skewer inserted into center.
