Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30-40 minutes
Materials:
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 large onion
- 14 oz. tomato sauce
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 2 cups short pasta
- 1 can black beans
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups short pasta
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
Process:
- In a soup pot or Dutch oven add in the olive oil. Keeping the heat on medium/ high add in the onion and cook until translucent (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add in the garlic and cook for about 60 seconds or until fragrant.
- Add in your ground turkey and cook breaking the turkey up with a spatula or wooden spoon. Cook until ground turkey is fully cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add in the tomato sauce and mix well to incorporate.
- Season with sugar, marjoram, chili powder, cayenne pepper and mix well to incorporate.
- Add in the chicken stock and black beans. Mix well to incorporate.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and add in the pasta.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and cook until the pasta softens.
- Add in the heavy cream and cook for2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add in the cheese. Stir to incorporate.
- Plate and ENJOY!
