Materials:
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour (additional needed for flouring work surface)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cubed and cold
- 7-8 tbsp. ice cold water
Process:
- In a food processor add in the flour, sugar and salt. Pulse to combine.
- Add in the cold butter and pulse until the you see small pea sized bits of butter.
- Slowly start to add in the water. Once you see the dough sticking together and forming large clumps do not add any more water.
- Place dough on a floured work surface and work it together with your hands. Once all flour is incorporated and you have one solid ball you can either separate in two, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate or you can leave as one, cover and refrigerate.
- Remove from fridge 5 minutes before ready to use.
