Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 4.5-6.5 hours
Materials:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 6-7 potatoes cubed
- 1 onion chopped
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (additional for topping)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp oregano (separated)
- 2 tsp marjoram (separated)
- 2 tsp garlic powder (separated)
- 1 tsp onion powder (separated)
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. neutral oil
Process:
- In a large skillet add in the neutral oil. Keeping the heat on medium/ high add in the ground beef.
- Cook the beef breaking it up with a wooden spoon until the ground beef is fully cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
- Discard any of the fat that the beef has rendered.
- Season with salt, pepper, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp marjoram, 1 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp onion powder. Mix well and set aside.
- In the insert of a slow cooker add in the potatoes, onion, cooked beef, beef broth, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp marjoram, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powdered, salt and pepper. Mix well and place into your slow cooker.
- Cook 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
- After the 4 or 6 hours add in the heavy cream and cheddar cheese. Mix well and let cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Now you are ready to plate, and enjoy!
