Materials:
- 1 bag (28 oz) tater tots
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp marjoram
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4-5 slices bacon crumbled
- 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Green onions diced
Process:
- Preheat the oven to what directions state on bag of tater tots and line a large baking sheet with some parchment paper.
- Pour the tater tots onto the baking sheet in a single layer and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, parsley and marjoram.
- Toss them slightly to coat the tater tots and then bake according to directions on tater tot bag.
- In the meantime fry up your bacon and place on a paper towel lined plate to absorb some of the grease. Set aside.
- In a small sauce pan over medium/ high heat add in the unsalted butter. Once the butter has melted add in the flour and cook for 60-90 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Add in the whole milk and cook stirring often until the mixture has thickened.
- Lower the heat to low and add in the cheese. Mix well until the cheese has melted and mixture is fully combined. Remove from heat.
- To assemble the cups place a layer of tater tots and top with melted cheese. Continue this until you reach the top. Layers will depend on how big your cups are.
- Once the cups are full finish off with a layer of cheese and then top with sour cream, cooked bacon and green onions.
