Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: Varies depending on thickness of chicken (about 20 minutes total)
Materials:
- 2 chicken breasts cut into 1/2 inch- 1 inch thick cutlets
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp white rice vinegar
- 5-6 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp. Unsalted butter (divided into 2 and 1)
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Process:
- In a small mixing bowl combine the honey, soy sauce, white rice vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- In a bowl or mixing bowl add in the flour. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Coat the chicken in the flour mixture.
- In a skillet with high sides add in 2 tbsp. of butter along with the olive oil.
- Once the butter has melted and keeping the heat on medium/ high add in the coated chicken. Cook 3-5 minutes per side (times will vary depending on thickness of chicken).
- Remove the cooked chicken onto a clean plate.
- Into the same skillet add in the remaining 1 tbsp. butter.
- Leaving the heat on medium/high let the butter melt.
- Add in the minced garlic and cook 60-90 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the honey/ soy sauce mixture into the pan.
- Cook for about 60 seconds.
- Add the chicken back in making sure the sauce coats each piece of the chicken.
- Continue to cook for an additional 60-90 seconds.
- Remove from heat, plate and ENJOY!
