Cook time: 20-25 minutes
Materials:
- 1 lb. Brussel sprouts
- 2 tbsp. Neutral oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Bacon to taste (measure with your heart)
Process:
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until it reaches your desired crispiness level. Remove and place on a paper towel lined plate. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and prep a baking sheet with some aluminum foil or parchment paper. Set aside.
- Prep the brussel sprouts by cutting off the ends and removing any imperfections. Cut each brussel sprout in half and place on the prepped baking sheet or bowl. Continue to do this with the remaining brussel sprouts.
- Coat the brussel sprouts in neutral oil, salt and pepper. Bake for 15 minutes.
- In the meantime combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic and red pepper flakes. Mix well and set aside until needed.
- Remove the brussel sprouts after 15 minutes and coat them with the sauce.
- Place back into the oven and bake for an additional 6-8 minutes.
- Plate, top with crispy bacon and ENJOY!
