Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 25-30 minutes
Materials:
- 1 lb. pasta cooked
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 4 cups crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup sharp mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Process:
- In a skillet with high sides add in the olive oil.
- Keeping the heat on medium/ high add in the onion and cooked until golden, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the garlic in and cook for an additional 60-90 seconds.
- Add in the ground beef and cook breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon. Cook breaking the meat up for 3-5 minutes or until the ground beef is fully cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes. Stir in to combine with the ground beef.
- Season with oregano, marjoram, paprika, basil, salt and pepper (if needed).
- Add in the peas. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- While your sauce is cooking, cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside. Make sure to reserve about 1 cup of pasta water incase your sauce is too thick.
- Add in the cooked pasta and stir.
- Remove from heat and add in the mascarpone and cheddar cheese. Mix weill.
- Serve and ENJOY!
