Overnight French Toast

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 60-70 minutes

Rest time: Overnight

French Toast Materials:

  • 1 loaf brioche bread cubed
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbs. vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbs. nutmeg

Topping Materials:

  • 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbs. ground cinnamon

Process:

  1. In a medium sized baking dish place your cubed bread, trying your best to cover as much of the empty space as possible.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl add in the milk, heavy cream, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  3. Add in ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well and pour over the cubed bread.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.
  5. In a medium bowl or Tupperware add in the cubed butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix to combine and refrigerate overnight.
  6. In the morning preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Remove the plastic from the french toast mixture and top with the butter mixture.
  8. Bake 60-70 minutes or until the top is flaky and golden brown.
  9. Plate, top with maple syrup, and ENJOY!
