French Toast Materials:
- 1 loaf brioche bread cubed
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbs. vanilla extract
- 1 tbs. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tbs. nutmeg
Topping Materials:
- 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbs. ground cinnamon
Process:
- In a medium sized baking dish place your cubed bread, trying your best to cover as much of the empty space as possible.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl add in the milk, heavy cream, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Add in ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well and pour over the cubed bread.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.
- In a medium bowl or Tupperware add in the cubed butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix to combine and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove the plastic from the french toast mixture and top with the butter mixture.
- Bake 60-70 minutes or until the top is flaky and golden brown.
- Plate, top with maple syrup, and ENJOY!
