Scallops in a Buttery Garlic Sauce

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 5-10 minutes

  • 1 lb scallops
  • 4 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced or grated
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. neutral oil (you can also use olive oil)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish chopped

Process:

  1. In a small mixing bowl combine the unsalted butter, garlic, lemon juice, red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt. Mix to combine and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium/ high heat add in the oil and allow it to heat up.
  3. Once the oil is shimmering add in the scallops making sure they are in a single layer and not over lapping.
  4. Cook 2-4 minutes (times will vary depending on the size of your scallops) and then flip to the other side.
  5. Top with the buttery garlic mixture and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes or until the scallops are fully cooked through.
  6. Plate, top with some fresh parsley and ENJOY!
