Materials:
- 2 cups shredded fillo dough
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 cup pistachio cream
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup or fudge sauce
Fillo Dough Process:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine the shredded fillo dough and melted butter.
- Place the dough in a thin layer on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes stirring every 4-5 minutes. Once the dough is golden they are ready.
- Set aside to cool completely.
- Once cooled add in the pistachio butter.
Ice Cream Process:
- In a mixing bowl add in the heavy whipping cream.
- Using a hand held electric mixer whip the cream until soft peaks start to appear.
- Gradually start to add in the condensed milk.
- Whip just until stiff peaks start to form.
- In a freezer safe container add in half of the whipped mixture.
- Top with the fillo dough/pistachio mixture and 1/4 cup of your chocolate sauce.
- Pour the remaining whipped cream mixture over the top.
- Top with 1/4 cup chocolate sauce and using a butter knife scribble the sauce over the top of the ice cream.
- Cover tightly and freeze for 8-10 hours minimum.
- Plate and ENJOY!
