Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream

Cook time:15-20 minutes

Materials:

  • 2 cups shredded fillo dough
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 cup pistachio cream
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup or fudge sauce

Fillo Dough Process:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the shredded fillo dough and melted butter.
  3. Place the dough in a thin layer on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes stirring every 4-5 minutes. Once the dough is golden they are ready.
  4. Set aside to cool completely.
  5. Once cooled add in the pistachio butter.

Ice Cream Process:

  1. In a mixing bowl add in the heavy whipping cream.
  2. Using a hand held electric mixer whip the cream until soft peaks start to appear.
  3. Gradually start to add in the condensed milk.
  4. Whip just until stiff peaks start to form.
  5. In a freezer safe container add in half of the whipped mixture.
  6. Top with the fillo dough/pistachio mixture and 1/4 cup of your chocolate sauce.
  7. Pour the remaining whipped cream mixture over the top.
  8. Top with 1/4 cup chocolate sauce and using a butter knife scribble the sauce over the top of the ice cream.
  9. Cover tightly and freeze for 8-10 hours minimum.
  10. Plate and ENJOY!
