Honey/Garlic Shrimp

Prep time: 10-15 minutes

Cook time: 8-10 minutes

Materials:

  • 1 lb. large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 6-7 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp. grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp. corn starch
  • 1 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. neutral oil
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Process:

  1. In a mixing bowl add in the peeled and deveined shrimp, along with the corn starch, low sodium soy sauce, and dark soy sauce. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In a skillet with high sides add in the neutral oil.
  3. Keeping the heat on medium/ high add in the garlic and grated ginger. Cook 60-90 seconds.
  4. Add in the shrimp.
  5. Cook 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Add in the honey and red pepper flakes.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions.
  9. ENJOY over rice/potatoes/salad.
