Materials:
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. Colby Jack cheese grated
- 2 tbsp. mayo
- 2 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
- 12 dinner rolls of your choice
- 1 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
- 2 tbsp. neutral oil
- Pickles to taste
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with some parchment paper. Set aside until needed.
- In a skillet with high sides add the neutral oil and chopped onion.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes over medium/high heat, or until the onions have softened.
- Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add in the ground beef and cook until fully cooked through (about 5-6 minutes), stirring often.
- Season with Worcestershire sauce, paprika, marjoram, salt and pepper.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes and set aside.
- Place your dinner rolls on a flat surface and them in half horizontally.
- Place the rolls cut side up, on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 5-6 minutes until the inside is toasted.
- In the meantime, combine the mayo, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture over the cut rolls.
- Spread 1 cup of the cheese over the bottom sides of the rolls, followed by the cooked ground beef and then the remaining cheese.
- Top with some pickles and then carefully top with the top half of the rolls (watch video for visual).
- Using a pastry brush, brush the tops of the rolls with some unsalted butter.
- Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted.
- Plate and ENJOY!
