Cook time: 20-25 minutes

Materials:

  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. Colby Jack cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp. mayo
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 12 dinner rolls of your choice
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp. neutral oil
  • Pickles to taste

Process:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with some parchment paper. Set aside until needed.
  2. In a skillet with high sides add the neutral oil and chopped onion.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes over medium/high heat, or until the onions have softened.
  4. Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Add in the ground beef and cook until fully cooked through (about 5-6 minutes), stirring often.
  6. Season with Worcestershire sauce, paprika, marjoram, salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes and set aside.
  8. Place your dinner rolls on a flat surface and them in half horizontally.
  9. Place the rolls cut side up, on the baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 5-6 minutes until the inside is toasted.
  11. In the meantime, combine the mayo, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  12. Spread the mixture over the cut rolls.
  13. Spread 1 cup of the cheese over the bottom sides of the rolls, followed by the cooked ground beef and then the remaining cheese.
  14. Top with some pickles and then carefully top with the top half of the rolls (watch video for visual).
  15. Using a pastry brush, brush the tops of the rolls with some unsalted butter.
  16. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted.
  17. Plate and ENJOY!
