Homemade Vanilla Extract

I gave you the measurement for one batch. To make more just double each ingredient.

Prep time: 15 minutes

Rest time: 5-6 weeks


  • 1 cup vodka
  • 5 vanilla beans


  1. Take each vanilla bean and cut the top of the bean horizontally making sure not to cut fully through the entire bean.
  2. Stick each bean in a bottle or jar that has a tight lid.
  3. Top with vodka.
  4. Let sit 5-6 weeks shaking the bottle daily.
  5. Enjoy in all you baking needs.
