Prep time: 15-20 minutes
Cook time: 15-20 minutes (cooking time will vary depending on the size of your chicken)
Chicken Materials:
- 2 large chicken breasts cut into large cubes
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 6 garlic cloves diced
- 4 tbsp. flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil
Sauce Materials:
- 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup water
Process:
- In a medium sized mixing bowl add in the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Mix well to coat.
- Add in the garlic cloves, sugar, lemon juice and flour. Mix well to coat.
- Coat a medium/ large skillet with some vegetable oil.
- Keeping the heat on medium let the oil heat up. Add in the chicken and cook on all sides for several minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.
- Remove the cooked chicken and place it in a clean bowl.
- In the same skillet add in the unsalted butter and let it melt.
- Add in the flour and stir to combine with the butter. Cook for about 60 seconds to cook out the floury taste.
- Add in the water and mix well until thickened.
- Season with salt, pepper and oregano.
- Add the chicken back into the pan and cook for a few minutes stirring, making sure to coat the chicken in the sauce.
- Plate and ENJOY!
