Cook time: 1.5- 2 hours
Materials:
- 1 lb. pork loin cut into ½ inch thick slices
- 5-6 large onions chopped largely
- 1 tbsp. dried marjoram
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil (amount will vary depending on size of skillet)
Materials:
- Season both sides of the pork slices with salt, pepper, marjoram and paprika.
- In a skillet with high sides add in enough vegetable oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Let the pan heat up and add in the pork in a single layer.
- keeping the heat on medium high let the pork cook until the bottom becomes a golden brown (about 3-4 minutes).
- Flip the pork and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Turn the heat down to low.
- Top the pork with the chopped onions.
- Cover with a lid and continue to cook on low heat for 1.5-2 hours stirring once in a while.
- Let the meat rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
