Cocoa Puffs & Marshmallow Treats

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 5-6 minutes

Materials:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (additional needed to grease pan)
  • 8 cups Cocoa Puffs cereal
  • 1 cup mini or crushed pretzels
  • 10 oz. mini marshmallows (plus additional 1 cup for later)
  • 2 (1.55 oz.) bars Hershey’s chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil

Process:

  1. Line a 9×13 baking pan with some parchment paper and grease slightly with butter. Set aside until needed.
  2. Place a large pot over a medium/ high flame.
  3. Add in the butter and stirring often, let the butter melt.
  4. Add in the 10 oz. of mini marshmallows and continue stirring until the marshmallows melt and completely mix in with the butter.
  5. Remove from heat and add in the remaining 1 cup of marshmallows. Stir roughly. The goal here is to have some texture so try not to melt them completely.
  6. Add in the Cocoa Puffs and pretzels. Mix well to incorporate.
  7. Pour the mixture out into your prepared baking sheet. Smooth the mixture out and set aside.
  8. In a microwave safe dish add in the chocolate and coconut oil.
  9. Microwave in 30 second increments until the chocolate has melted.
  10. Drizzle over the marshmallow mixture and set aside to set.
  11. Cut into desired size pieces, serve and ENJOY!
