Materials:
- 1 jar 24oz sauerkraut
- 1 large head of cabbage cut into thin slices
- 2 onions chopped
- Salt pepper to taste
- 4-5 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Pasta of your choice
Process:
- Boil sauerkraut and cabbage in separate pots for 15-20 minutes to soften.
- Drain both and set aside to cool completely.
- Once cooled completely take the cabbage and sauerkraut and using your hands squeeze as much moisture out as you can.
- Cut the drained cabbage and sauerkraut into smaller pieces and set aside.
- Cook pasta in salted water. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet with high sides, add in the vegetable oil and cook stirring often until softened.
- Add in the cooked cabbage and sauerkraut and cook for an additional 7-10 minutes, stirring often and well. Remove from heat.
- Add in cooked pasta and mix well.
- Plate and ENJOY!
